Pernelia V. Wilder Holloman Baugham Lassiter
1874-1949
Neppie was born June 25, 1874 in Hertford County, North Carolina. She was the daughter of Elijah and Martha (Evans) Wilder.
She married William Eason Holloman in Winton, NC on June 2, 1895. He passed away April 3, 1903 in Winton, NC at the age of 56. They had been married 7 years.
She eventually remarried 2 more times to Henry L Baugham and Spurgeon Lassister. In her later years, Neppie lived with a daughter near Norfolk, VA.
Neppie died at her residence in Money Point, after a long illness. Her cause of death is listed as heart failure. At the time of her death, she was survived by her husband, Spurgeon Lassiter, two daughters, Mrs. H. L. Brickhouse of Norfolk, Mrs. J.W. Moore of Leggett and two sons, Clyde Holloman of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Adron Holloman of Leggettt. Also surviving was one stepson, Charles Baugham of Harrellsville, NC, 24 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Missionary Baptist Church in Tarboro, NC.
Services were conducted at Francis A. Gay Funeral Home in South Norfolk on Sunday, June 26th 1949 at 4pm. She is buried at Riverside Memorial Park in Norfolk, VA.
